About Oolo

Wearable Sculpture for Individual Expression

Wearable Sculpture for Individual Expression

Wearable Sculpture for Individual Expression

Rooted in the raw power of Brutalism and informed by the clean elegance of Modernism,  Oolo redefines jewellery as wearable sculpture. Each piece is handmade using age-old techniques, embracing the imperfect poetics of everyday life.

Designs emerge intuitively — sparked by a song, a conversation, a memory, a fleeting emotional moment. These influences are translated through curves, undulations, polished planes, and asymmetric forms that arise from a stream of consciousness. The result is jewellery that carries both the sadness and joy of lived experience, felt as much as it is seen.

Oolo works with materials as they are found, favouring wabi-sabi — the Japanese appreciation of impermanence, imperfection, and the beauty of age. Surfaces are relaxed rather than over-refined, allowing patina, texture, and time to become part of the story.

Rather than prescribing how jewellery should be worn, Oolo creates abstract elements that invite interpretation. Pieces can be self-assembled, layered, or styled intuitively, empowering the wearer to express their own strength, beauty, and identity. In this way, the wearer becomes a creative collaborator, completing the work through personal expression.

Ultimately, Oolo jewellery is not about adornment alone — it is about how a piece feels on the body and how it quietly affirms who you are.

Sustainable Materials & Circular Design

Sustainability and longevity are central to the Oolo ethos.

We work with high-quality recycled materials wherever possible, producing jewellery in small batches to reduce waste and ensure each collection remains distinctive. Our pieces are made to last, using solid precious metals, base metals, and semi-precious gemstones.

Bronze has become an important material for Oolo — chosen both as an alternative to gold and for its deep historical connection to modernist sculpture.

We do not plate our jewellery. Instead, some collections offer 14ct gold-filled options, which are significantly more durable than plating and have a lifespan of 10–30 years with proper wear.

Many of our gemstones are sourced through resale environments, and we opt for lab-grown stones when they offer a more responsible choice.

Material off-cuts are never wasted. They are repurposed into limited-edition pieces such as the Virtuous Circle Charm and the She’s Such A Stud! series — celebrating circular design and creative reuse.

All packaging is sourced in the UK and made from recycled, vegan, and reusable materials.

The Designer

The Designer

Oolo is the creative practice of Lynn Harris Clark.

Originally from Houston Texas, Lynn trained as a jewellery designer and sculptor in the 1990's.

She moved to London in 2000 to study at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and has spent the past two decades immersed in art and design and material exploration.

Her career spans conceptual art, artist-book publishing, and work with clients across graphic and interior design. After having children, Lynn felt drawn back to the meditative, hands-on act of making jewellery — rediscovering the quiet focus and meaning found in working directly with material.

Oolo is the convergence of this journey: a practice rooted in intuition, craftsmanship, and the desire to create objects that hold emotional resonance.

“Jewellery is a language that doesn’t need words.
It speaks volumes about who we are and what we hold dear.”
