SHIPPING

Where do you ship and how long does it take?
We ship to the UK, EU and most of the world or you can pick up from our studio.

As our pieces are handmade, please allow 1 working week for your order to be prepared before dispatch. UK shipping should take 1-2 days from dispatch. International shipping should take between 3-10 days depending on region.

You can pick up, free of charge, usually within 2-4 days from our studio at 8 Fyfield Road, London, E17 3RG.

If you have an urgent order, we can usually accommodate. Get in contact at lynn@oolo.london.

REPAIR & WARRANTY

Do Oolo pieces come with a warranty?
Yes. All Oolo jewellery comes with a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects. This covers faults caused by how a piece was made or assembled. The warranty doesn’t cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, loss, or damage caused by improper care or use.

Can my Oolo jewellery be repaired?
In most cases, yes. We believe in repairing rather than replacing, and will always do our best to restore your piece where possible.

Depending on the piece, we can polish and refinish surfaces, restore texture, reshape forms, repair damage and refresh the finish. We’ll always assess the piece first and let you know what’s possible.

Does a repair change the character of my jewellery?
Our aim is to preserve the original piece, materials and character wherever possible. Some marks naturally become part of a piece’s story, while others can be carefully restored.

How do I send something in for repair?
Email us at lynn@oolo.london with a photograph of your jewellery and a description of what needs attention. We’ll assess it and advise you on the next steps.

How much does a repair cost and how long does a repair take?
It depends on the work required. We’ll assess your piece and confirm the cost with you before any chargeable repair goes ahead. Turnaround times vary depending on the repair and our current workload. We’ll give you an estimated timeframe when we assess your piece.

What if my jewellery has a manufacturing issue within two years?
If your piece has a manufacturing defect within the 2-year warranty period, please contact us with your order details and a photograph at lynn@oolo.london. We’ll assess the issue and, where covered by the warranty, repair or replace the piece where possible.

Can you repair jewellery that is no longer under warranty?
Yes. Our repair service is available beyond the 2-year warranty period, subject to assessment and repairability. We’d always rather give an existing piece a new lease of life than see it replaced.

ABOUT OUR JEWELLERY

What is Oolo jewellery made from?
Oolo works with recycled sterling silver, 9ct gold, 14ct gold-filled, bronze and brass. We work with gems found with reputable dealers, secondhand gems and lab grown gems. We choose materials from ethical sources for their character as much as their durability, materials that can be shaped, textured and allowed to change through wear.

What is Gold-Filled jewellery?
Gold-filled jewellery is made by bonding a substantial layer of real 14ct gold to a base metal. Unlike gold plating, where an extremely thin layer of gold is applied to the surface, gold-filled material contains a much thicker layer of gold, making it more durable and resistant to wear.

Oolo uses 14ct gold-filled material for its warmth, longevity and beautiful finish, offering the character of gold without the amount of precious metal required for solid gold. It’s a considered way of working with materials, creating pieces designed to be worn, lived in and enjoyed for years to come.

Does Oolo plate their jewellery?
No, we use solid materials that last a lifetime and can be polished, renewed or left to patina as you age with your piece. We do use 14ct gold-filled in some pieces, which is a much thicker layer of gold than plating that is applied to a base metal like brass. The life span of filled-gold jewellery is between 10-30 years depending on wear.

Is Oolo jewellery handmade?
Yes. Each piece is handmade in small batches using traditional jewellery-making techniques like forging and charcoal casting, and some more recent techniques like 3D printing and casting. Small variations in texture, shape and finish are part of the process and part of what makes each piece yours.

Where is Oolo jewellery made?
Oolo jewellery is designed and handmade in our studio in East London. We also work with reputable suppliers in Hatton Garden who cast replicas of our original designs that we then hand finish in our studio.

How should I care for my Oolo jewellery?
Jewellery likes a little care. Keep your pieces away from perfumes, creams, water and harsh chemicals, and store them separately when you're not wearing them. We advise taking your jewellery out at night. Every purchase comes with a handy storage bag that can used at home or while travelling.

Brass and silver will naturally change with time and wear. We like that. If you'd rather return a piece to its original finish or to give it a little shine, it can be polished with the polishing cloth we provide at purchase.

Will my jewellery change over time?
It may. Silver and brass naturally develop patina as they come into contact with air, skin and their surroundings. Each piece will gradually record something of the way it is worn.

You can polish it back, or let it evolve. Either way, the changing surface becomes part of the piece. We also offer a Repair Service if you would like our assistance giving your piece new life.

How do I find my ring size?
Our Ring Sizing Guide will help you find the closest fit. If you're between sizes or unsure, get in touch and we'll help you work it out.

Because Oolo rings often have sculptural and organic forms, the way a ring sits on the finger can vary between designs. You'll find any specific fit information on the individual product page.

Is my Oolo jewellery hallmarked?
Precious metal pieces, which include gold & silver, are hallmarked where required by UK regulations. Please see the official London Assay Office page for more information.

What is the idea behind Oolo?
Oolo makes wearable sculpture for people who see jewellery as a form of personal expression.

Our pieces begin with an interest in shape, material, movement and the things we notice around us, from architecture and art to natural landscapes and the traces left by time.

The result is jewellery designed not simply to decorate, but to be worn, touched, combined and interpreted in your own way.
